A. We are currently only designing on the blogger platform.

Q. How do I reserve a spot?
A. Please email me at MaieDae@gmail.com, letting me know you would like to reserve a holiday special spot. I will reply with more information about our process and your set of homework questions, as well as an invoice for 60% of the payment. Once you have paid the invoice, your spot will be secured.

Happy Halloween from the Wallace's!

I mentioned in my previous post that Jon and I threw a little Halloween style get-together for our friends. A couple times a year, we like to throw what we call a 7-11 (Friday night from 7:00-11:00). Sometimes these parties are themed, but usually they are just an old fashioned get-together so Jon and I can keep connected with our friends from college. :)

This month, we asked our guests to dress up. We played some Rocky Horror on the record player, set out our favorite board games, and had a fabulous time of fellowship! Here are a couple shots from the night:

Happy Halloween to everyone! Jon and I are going to lay low tonight and pass out candy to anyone who decides to trick-or-treat in an apartment complex. ;)

Weekly Wrap-Up

This week, Jon and I hosted a Halloween get-together with our friends. Everyone came dressed up, we ate snacks, played games, had deep discussions...it was a fantastic time. :) This is my favorite time of year! I love the fall weather, Thanksgiving, warm clothing...and most of all, Christmas!

I spent Saturday morning working with Jenny on an upcoming MaieDae event that will be really exciting (more info coming soon!) and then I headed over to my parents' house to help my little sister get ready for homecoming. Jon and I stayed up way too late last night watching our latest show and ended up sleeping in really late this morning. It's been a kinda lazy day, but I'm VERY excited about this coming week, because on Thursday, I'm flying out to Seattle to visit one of my best friends, Anica! I can't wait! :)

Snapshot of the Week: Jon and I dressed up as Brad and Janet from Rocky Horror. Love this man. ;)

Three Things About Yours Truly:
* I go through neutral color phases in my wardrobe. In college it was black and now it's grey and cream.
* I REALLY want to get the game Clue for Christmas.
* Speaking of Christmas, I'm trying to convince Jon to let me start decorating in early November. ;)

For this month's sponsor feature, I asked the ladies if they could be anything//anyone for Halloween (with no money or supply restrictions) who//what would they choose? I thought their answers were so creative, but beware! Some of their choices might be a little spooky. ;)

Threads: 10.26.11

This is my most favorite fall outfit. :) I love being cozy and warm...and I would definitely choose comfort over style any day. I am extremely cold-natured, so layering warm items in a cozy and cute way is always a little challenging. However, this outfit has all the essentials: socks, leggings, cozy boots, long cardigan. Perfect. :) Not to mention I got to wear my favorite top of all time.

What are your cozy essentials for the fall?

Top - Bottom (pricing is approximate)
* Head Scarf: Thrifted - $2.50
* Camel Cardigan: Target - $29.99
* Crochet Top: Buffalo Exchange - $12.50
* Lace Skirt: Forever21 - $19.50
* Grey Leggings: Forever21 - $5.50
* Oatmeal Socks: Target - $10.00
* Suede Ankle Boots: Forever21 - $32.50

Kitties Love Pumpkins

Last year, Jon and I started the tradition of buying pumpkins at a pumpkin patch, including one for each of our kitties. Last year, it was just Kaito and now that we have little Kyo, we buy four. :) When we got back from the pumpkin patch on Saturday, we let the "boys" out to see their new pumpkins. I think it's pretty safe to say they LOVE fall and their baby pumpkins...

Do you have any special fall traditions??

Inspiration for your Nest: Peeks of my Home

For this week's Inspiration for your Nest, I just wanted to share a couple snapshots from our apartment. :) This is our first little newlywed home together and it's been such a joy to nest and decorate. The most challenge part is the fact that Jon and I have such different taste in decor. I've been taking it as a challenge to somehow mesh the two together. I haven't been successful YET, but I plan to do some major re-designing when we move next summer.

Wishing you a bluesy-free Monday. :)

Weekly Wrap-Up

This week has been great! Jenny and I spent a lot of time meeting about MaieDae and planning out the rest of 2011. We also put together our Closet Sale and launched it on Saturday! We had a great turn out and I can't wait to add more items and give some of my older clothing new homes. :) Jon and I spent the rest of Saturday picking out our pumpkins at a local pumpkin patch and then looking at homes for sale around our area. We are currently in the process of trying to figure out our next steps after our apartment lease goes up next summer. Buy? Rent? We're weighing out the pros and cons and hopefully making a decision by the end of the year. :)

* I have the best in-laws anyone could ever ask for. Seriously, I love them so much. :)
* Jon and I stayed up until 3:00am, yesterday, watching "Battlestar Galactica". No shame.

MaieDae Closet Sale - Gently Worn Items from our Closet

Jenny and I love, LOVE shopping for new clothes and accessories, I'm not going to even pretend we don't. :) We met during our freshman year of college (nearly 5.5 years ago!) and loved venturing around our little college town for fun clothes. Now that we are out of college and pursuing our own professional jobs, as well as MaieDae, we have been in the slow//awkward process of converting our college wardrobe to something more professional and 20-something-ish. :)

I'm a HUGE fan of frequently going through my things and donating//selling once loved, but no longer used items. As a super-late spring cleaning (or early depending on how you look at it) chore, we decided to dig around in our closets and pick out the best pieces that we haven't worn enough to rationalize keeping and bring you the MaieDae Closet Sale!

I'm really excited about this sale! All of our items are in great condition and EVERYTHING is under $15.00! Great deal right?! Here's the breakdown:

Dresses: $10.00
Skirts: $8.00
Tops: $7.00
Sale Items: $3.00-$5.00

We plan to add more items throughout the remainder of the year including shoes, purses, and other accessories, so be sure to keep an eye out!

THE MAIEDAE CLOSET SALE WILL BE HOSTED THROUGH BIG CARTEL. ALL ITEMS WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE ON SATURDAY, OCTOBER 22ND, AT 12:00 P.M. EDT.

See you there!!
